My dream is to provide a rural retreat for people where they ‘get back to nature’. A space where people feel good about themselves, where they have time to relax and recharge.
Rewilding
We are rewilding our habitat at the finca so that both humans and nature thrive and flourish!
Nature and animals are a huge part of our lives at Finca La Cantarera. Horses, donkeys, goats, dogs, ducks and chickens make up our menagerie – our chickens and ducks will happily share an egg or two, subject to their laying schedule!
Our animals live a natural life, in herds, flocks and packs, they are naturally inquisitive and will likely be curious to see you.
Sustainability
As we become ever more conscious of protecting our environment, in May 2022 we undertook a solar power project installing solar panels and batteries. The entire finca is sustainably powered with our own 'green' energy.
Directions to Finca La Cantarera
When using online map apps or navigation systems they can often try to take you on an off-road route if you try to input the finca location. We, therefore, recommend that you set your destination as Tarifa and follow our directional instructions.
From Malaga/Algeciras
If you're travelling from the Malaga/Algeciras direction on the N-340, you need to take the 1st exit for Tarifa, at the top of the hill, a new roundabout.Go around the roundabout and get back on the N-340 direction Algeciras. Get into the right hand lane of the N-340. Directly on your right is a speed camera, take the first right immediately after the speed camera,onto a small track into the military zone/small road. There are rubbish bins at the entrance. Keep straight for about 500 meters. Finca La Cantarera is the first house on the left, with big white gates, just before a sharp bend to the right. If you cross the bridge, you have gone too far.
From Cadiz/Seville/Jerez
If you're travelling from the Cadiz/Seville/Jerez direction on the N-340, drive past the lower junction to Tarifa and continue up the hill on the N-340. Go straight across the roundabout continuing on the N-340 direction Algeciras/Malaga. Immediately after the roundabout, get into the right hand lane of the N-340. Directly on your right is a speed camera, take the first right immediately after the speed camera,onto a small track into the military zone/small road. There are rubbish bins at the entrance. Keep straight for about 500 meters. Finca La Cantarera is the first house on the left, with big white gates, just before a sharp bend to the right. If you cross the bridge, you have gone too far.
Guests are expected to follow our house rules and can be asked to leave the premises if they cause issues by not following our rules.
